The Mr.Roper Memorial Dog Park is finally available to the public! Hurry up and bring your furry friends over to experience this incredible new facility for dogs.
Mr. Roper, our dear companion, found immense joy in exploring and meandering through the vast expanse of our front field.
Private dog parks are a popular feature in other urban areas. The reason behind their popularity is that not all dog owners and their furry companions appreciate the chaos and commotion of crowded public dog parks. Due to the limited availability of dog-friendly areas in our own city, it can prove to be quite challenging to locate a serene and secure spot where you can freely let your four-legged friend roam without being confined to a leash. We recognized the importance of providing individuals with the opportunity to engage in meaningful one-on-one activities with their furry companions in a serene park setting. From playing fetch and honing training skills to fostering a deeper bond, we saw this as a distinctive service we could provide. We take great pride in providing the public with the opportunity to rent our park. Open daily from 7:00am-6:00pm $20 for 30 minutes $30 for 60 minutes *Before gaining access to the park, it is required to complete the necessary procedures, including signing the waiver and making the payment in advance. *Ensuring a signed waiver and payment is made beforehand is mandatory before stepping foot into the park. *Social gatherings are strictly prohibited within the park premises. All canines accompanying visitors must originate from the same residential unit. Mr. Roper had the privilege of experiencing the tranquil farm life in Prince George alongside a caring family during the initial stage of his existence. During his time at a seniors lodge, he served as a therapy dog, offering his compassionate support to the residents. Moreover, at "Donkey Time Ranch," Mr. Roper faithfully performed his duties as a helpful companion to his previous owners.
He joined our farm at the Kelowna Pet Resort at the age of 7, as his previous family had to reduce their size due to health problems.
Mr. Roper, also referred to as Roper, Ropee, or Ropey-Poo by his numerous admirers, seamlessly integrated into our farm. He effortlessly became a part of our family and adapted to the atmosphere of our kennel. Mr. Roper thoroughly enjoyed spending time at doggy daycare, assisting with the daily chicken tasks, and engaging in playtime with the Shardlow sisters, Norelle and Gillian.
He was an incredibly gentle dog and could be trusted with baby chickens, bunnies, and any other puppies that decided to pay a visit to the resort.
Unfortunately, Mr. Roper departed from this world in the month of May, 2021. Regrettably, Mr. Roper's journey came to an end in May 2021. When I turned 14, I began to develop new interests and hobbies.
The park is named in honor of Mr. Roper. We have the hope that fellow pet parents will also appreciate it.
Our farm offers a unique opportunity for pet owners to share in the same level of fun and enjoyment with their furry companions as we do with ours.
